Prince Edward County Taste Trail Study
The following report examines Taste the Trail, an initiative that began in 2001 in Prince Edward County, Ontario. This self-guided route was designed to advance the goal of establishing Prince Edward County as the "gastronomic capital of Ontario." While the product has enjoyed considerable praise from the public and recognition, no systematic effort, there or in other jurisdictions, has been made to evaluate the effectiveness of culinary trails from the perspective of their various stakeholders. This report is based on interviews that were held with visitors to the trail, Taste Trail operators and major producers/suppliers to the Trail.

Prince Edward County Agri-Food Study
Using survey data from five separate questionnaires, three major components of the foodshed are examined in this study. These consist of the producers and processors of agricultural and animal products, the commercial businesses including lodging, foodservice and retail that integrate these products into their consumer offerings and lastly residents and visitors who purchase local produce at the County farm gates.

Prince Edward County Culinary Tourism Study
The emergence of Prince Edward County (PEC) as a culinary tourism destination has provided an opportunity to study the transition of a largely rural region in Ontario from a resource and manufacturing based economy to a service economy. Ryerson University and the Economic Development Office funded a visitor survey during July and August 2006 to consider whether significant investment has bolstered culinary tourism.
